From health, to beauty, to fashion products, this is a list of all my go-to products that I wouldn’t leave to go on any voyage without.
After multiple attempts at finding the best of each product I sought after to be the ultimate traveler, these are the products that I personally found to be the most superior in overall quality, affordability, and style (when it’s possible), of course.
HYDRATION PRODUCTS
This reasonably priced portable filter bottle not only saves me a ton of money on water bottles, but it helps reduce the plastic pollution in our beautiful oceans. Don’t forget to purchase the refill filters along with it.
As a Flight Attendant who spends a tremendous amount of time in cabin air, I always tend to feel like I’m never hydrated enough. Electro Flytes keeps me energized during work and leisure travel, I can even see the difference in the dryness on my skin and lips, and a clearer color in my urine. This is a must buy for any frequent flyers.
TOILETRY PRODUCTS
I am by no means an organized person, so having this bag with me when I travel has helped me tremendously. It has so many compartments and it makes it so easy for you to fit everything you need that belongs in the bathroom. Just hang it up on the bathroom door where you’re staying while you’re unpacking and it’s all there, ready and organized for you.
With natural ingredients like Bergamot, this dry shampoo make me feel healthier and more fresh each time I put it on. I love the natural fragrance, since I’m a huge fan of essential oils. Dry Shampoo is a must to have when you’re traveling, and this one is by far my favorite.
This wand makes it so easy to do your hair fast and achieve those sexy beach waves, while avoiding the whole jerry curl look. For my thick hair, the 32MM is perfect, as it can handle large chunks of hair like no other.
I always shied away from this company in the past. I refused to pay so much for hair products. Im extremely grateful that one day I decided to stop being so frugal and give these products a try. They are worth every penny. After I started using the products, my hair felt significantly softer and I even got asked if I was wearing a wig a few times because of how shiny and soft it looked. Although I don’t like to bring my other it’s a 10 products with me on vacation, this finishing spray keeps my hair from getting frizzy and maintains it no matter what crappy hotel products I may have to use on it that day.
As a person who gets frequent anxiety, as most of us do.. lavender is my go to when I need to feel calm. I love spraying this on myself to decompress, or spraying it on my friends when I can tell they’re feeling stressed. They always love it and ask me to spray more. I also spray it all over my pillows and sheets at night. For better sleep, this makes any bedroom a happy place.
Wet brushes are essential to bring when you travel. Once you start using a wet brush, it’s hard to imagine yourself going back to any other type. Nothing detangles faster and makes it easier for you. This compact is my go-to because I can bring it to the beach with me if I want to brush my hair out, or basically any time I go swimming and wet my hair. So convenient!
SUNSCREEN ladies!!! If you aren’t wearing it EVERY day don’t complain when you have wrinkles, or worse, skin cancer. With the cabin air dehydration we experience while traveling, this is vital to apply consistently throughout your trips. No one likes to put heavy cream on their face that makes it look greasy. But this one does the exact opposite. It’s application feels so light on your skin, and the fragrance is delectable. I have combination skin, and no sunscreen has ever made my skin look less greasy. It’s pricey for sunscreen, but I promise I don’t splurge on products that aren’t 110% worth the money.
With the lack of sleep and hydration that comes with air travel, I’m always looking for something to cover up the dark circles under my eyes. Most products I tried in the past, just made me have to constantly re-apply them, but this is by far the longest lasting and most effective I’ve tried. Nothing makes me feel more beautiful than when I apply this to my under eyes when I’m getting ready. It’s look I came back to life as zombie looking angelic. And I can’t count the number of times I get asked what I use under my eyes, it (was) my best kept secret, but now I want to share it with you all.
This cream goes on so smooth, feels so light on your face, and covers up your pores beautifully. It also adds an extra layer of protection with SPF 30 sunscreen. No other BB cream was good enough after I tried this one. It’s just the best.
If you’re shaving on vacation, the process is more than likely to be rushed. This can cause bad irritation on the sensitive areas on the body. Viblok saved me from any shaving irritation while traveling ever since I started using it, and made those sensitive areas so much softer.
I’ve had many travel toothbrushes, and I’ve had many incidents where I lost them. Since I got these covers, I love that I can just bring my toothbrush from home. The suction that sticks them to the mirror has been the best for helping not to leave them behind in hotels.
FASHION PRODUCTS
Rain Jackets are highly essential to pack in every case. Unexpected rainy weather shouldn’t be thing when you consider what to pack for traveling. This jacket in particular has a stylish enough look to it, while being so versatile and lightweight. Plus, it fits like a silk pajama top into your case.
If any of my readers have been to Piha Beach in New Zealand and climbed up their famous Lion Rock, imagine that I literally wore these shoes all the way up to the top with no casualties at all, for the shoes or myself. These shoes can literally be worn on a day to the beach and then dressed up to wear with an outfit to go out that night. They look adorable, and they’re so comfortable to walk in. These shoes are a dream for all the other flat footed girls like me who still love to wear heels.
My brother gave me this backpack for Christmas a few years ago, and it was probably the first time in years he got me something “good” as in how did you do so well finding something I’d love so much, good, in years. This is how I knew that his new, amazing girlfriend definitely chose the gifts for him. Because it was way too good. I pack this backpack with me everywhere I go, and it barely takes up any space at all in my case. It’s been such a savior for times when I chose to go on last minute adventures like hiking or going snorkeling. It’s water resistant, so I can always trust to leave my belongings in it knowing they’ll be protected if it falls into the ocean or gets wet when I’m trying to hike through a waterfall. You can get as much dirt on it as you want, just empty it and rinse it off with water and it goes right back to a pristine shape.
This bag is a little pricey but I was just drawn to it 1. because its a “Jetset” item, and 2. because the last MK cross body I had lasted me through almost 8 years of travel without any damage. You can’t deny the quality of luxury brands, you get what you’re paying for. While I am rarely one to splurge, I do believe in splurging on things you will be using so frequently. If you read my “Pack Like A Pro” article, you’d know that I mention a black or “neutral” cross body being essential to achieving the minimalistic (but still cute AF) packer routine.
This cross body is perfect for traveling, it’s multiple compartments and versatility are exceptionally helpful with keeping things organized. You will love how much you can easily dress this purse up or down. It’s nice enough to know you have good taste, but minimalistic enough not to draw unwanted attention.
I almost always pack this bag with me when I’m traveling. I adore the boho free-spirit design. I call it my gypsy purse. It’s so lightweight in your case, but it opens up to fit all the necessities you need for a day of exploring. It can be dressed up or down so easily, and it matches with more outfits than you could imagine.
PHOTOGRAPHY PRODUCTS
This tripod is ideal for the solo travelers who still want to get photos of themselves, or travel groups who want to get pictures but don’t want to “leave anyone out” if they have to take the photo. You know we’ve all been there. My friends also love that you can see a mirror of what you look like in the phone screen so you can critique yourself! You also have control of when the photo takes with it’s blue tooth options, so no more running to get in the perfect pose in under 10 seconds and then having to run back again and again. We’ve all been there too. This tripod will be your savior.
Before I got my a new iPhone very recently, this lens helped me capture some of the most amazing landscape photos. It’s very easy to use, and the case and overall presentation of the product when it arrives shows how great the quality of the product is.
