My first year flying, when I decided it wouldn’t be my last.

Life as flight attendant is definitely not what one would consider a normal lifestyle in our Western culture. So naturally, I am constantly asked questions about my career.

Whether your curiosity is just for your own personal interest, or you are asking because you are considering applying to become a flight attendant yourself, I have created this post as a reference for you to answer all the questions you have about travel benefits, qualification requirements, the interview process and more!

This will be an ever-changing page, as I am currently on leave from work until the tragic COVID-19 Pandemic calms down, there is no way of telling how relevant any of the information I have to share will still be. But for now, I’m here to help you with all that I can. So let’s start with the question I’m most frequently asked:

Do you like the job?

If I didn’t, I would have left by now. From what I have witnessed, most flight attendants tend to make decisions within their first year about whether or not they want to continue with the lifestyle that being flight attendant requires you to have. For me, I take this question as a simple weigh out of the pros and cons.
